Four books that changed Sasha Wasley

S.D. Wasley is an Australian author of books that make readers wonder and dream. Her recent titles include the new adult paranormal romance series, The Incorruptibles, and her popular young adult paranormal series, The Seventh, as well as a number of standalone titles. Her debut rural romance is Dear Banjo.

One of four books that changed Wasley, as shared at the Sydney Morning Herald:
PERSUASION
Jane Austen

My favourite Austen novel! The structure of this book is pretty near perfect, and the characterisation breathtaking in its execution. But more importantly, it's a beautiful, beautiful love story. Writing Tom and Willow's story in Dear Banjo, I often thought about Persuasion and thanked Jane Austen for inspiring my own story about patient, loyal love.

Persuasion is among Cristina Merrill's five classic romantic stories that still ring true today, Melissa Albert's top fifteen male characters in Jane Austen's novels, Yiyun Li's six favorite novels, Joanna Trollope's six best books, Paula Byrne's ten best Jane Austen characters, Marjorie Kehe's list of ten perfect books for Valentine's Day gifts, Howard Jacobson's 5 favorite literary heroines and top ten novels of sexual jealousy, Elizabeth Buchan's top ten books guaranteed to give comfort during the ending of a relationship, and appears on John Mullan's list of ten of the best concerts in literature.
